This is interesting! And I wonder to what extent churches need to think about a similar move? Isn’t what we mean by “mission” in some ways a move to help our members write their faith stories on a larger canvas? In more places than simply a sanctuary?

Ok, so this video is sort of fun. But I have to admit that I miss the element of feminism that’s more collective — not so much about “what a feminist looks like,” but what feminists do together. Still, it’s a fun way to smash certain stereotypes.

Ok, I admit it, I treat cognitive science with a rather large degree of skepticism (perhaps having a child with neurological challenges is part of it?). On the other hand, cognitive scientists have also been very useful on a number of questions. Here’s an interesting overview of film studies from a cognitive science perspective.

In the vast ocean of content that is YouTube, it can sometimes be hard to find stuff you’re looking for. OpenCulture has helped immensely by putting together their list of 50+ smart video collections on YouTube.

I’m not sure about the science behind these rules, but they seem pretty commonsensical to me (hat tip to Borderland). However the post that really caught my attention, was this one about creativity and metaphor.
