Great church website

Set aside theological considerations for a moment, and look at this church website. It’s easy to navigate, friendly to use, and very accessible to outsiders (all of which are ultimately theological choices, too, of course).

Krister Stendhal has died

I missed this while I was gone. I had been keeping Krister Stendhal’s family in prayer, because many of us knew his passing was near, but it is still sad. Krister was the chaplain at HDS when I was a student there, and his very tall, angular self loomed above us — as did his reputation as a brilliant scholar and pastoral leader. I was privileged to have known him, and mourn his death.

I was traveling yesterday, and so did not have a chance to watch/hear the debate. But it’s interesting how uniform the scathing for the performance of ABC’s talking head moderators was.

Map of US CO2 emissions

Check out this map, which graphically identifies PER CAPITA CO2 emissions. I was intrigued by the concentration in very northern Minnesota. I’m not sure what that’s about, but now I’m curious enough to try and figure it out.
