So I was looking for an image of the Last Supper I remember from a Swedish photographer who exhibited her images in the Vienna subway, and I also found this — an entire blog post FULL of pop culture versions of that image.

Worth reading.

Lately I’ve been talking about mission in ways somewhat similar, particularly doing a “riff” off the Matthew 28 verse where Jesus urges his disciples to “go and make disciples” — and my sense that a better translation of “disciple” for us might be learner. Learning, of course, is a journey fraught with opportunities for transformation, where the person transformed may more often be oneself, rather than anyone else! In any case, because of all of this I like the Taylor quote.
