Imagine a world like this!

The LATimes has an interesting article up entitled “10 magazine covers that shook the world” — sparked by the recent New Yorker cover — and I’m fascinated by how many of them are relatively recent. Perhaps the Net (and the ability to share photos quickly) is one reason why?

This is cool! An artist named Rene Marie has remixed the national anthem, singing the melody with the words of the Black National anthem. I’ve never much liked our national anthem, finding it really difficult for most people to sing, but this is kind of a cool effort.

I feel like I’ve blogged about this group before, but I couldn’t find the entry. TechMission appears to be — I’ve only encountered it on the net so far - a really useful network of people engaged in using technology to empower people.
