Robert Egan has a very thoughtful article in an April issue of Commonweal stating the various elements of the magisterium’s argument against women’s ordination, and pointing to several flaws in the reasoning. (Hat tip to the DailyDish)

I just got done watching Michelle Obama address the DNC. She was wonderful — articulate, inspiring, authentic. I will be very proud to have her as a First Lady.
I wish I’d turned it off however (I’d been watching it on MSNBC), before Donald Miller got up to offer a benediction. I can’t believe how awful he was. I’m embarrassed on behalf of Christians. And going to his website (which I won’t link to, because he hardly needs the publicity), only made me feel worse.
UGH.
I’m sure Michelle’s speech will be online for replay shortly, and I think I’ll listen to it again, to wipe out the bad taste of Miller.
