Weblogg-ed has a great reflection on the kind of learning that is happening with primary school kids using blogs. His students are upset as their last term blogs are being replaced by new ones ready for new content. Can you imagine many people (besides the particular parent) worrying about the paperwork that's thrown away? As Weblogg-ed notes:

"If you don't yet understand the power of all of this, consider taking it away. I don't think I've actually appreciated the depth of my connection to this body of work and thinking and conversation. It's become such a part of me, "so inextricably linked" that I can't imagine a complete existence without it."

Can we say the same about the materials our students are creating? If not, why not?
