Iran war next?

I haven't been posting many links to the diverse entries about Bush's ambitions in Iran, in part because the whole thing makes me so angry and sad that I haven't wanted to remind myself about them. But the chorus of news analysts is getting louder, and this piece by Ray Close, posted at Informed Comment, is perhaps the most dispassionate -- and therefore compelling -- of them. All of us who care about peace and justice need to keep track of the subtle moves being made here (or the not so subtle) so that when Bush & Co. try to whip up hysteria amongst the US public, we have careful analysis and thoughtful reflection to offer. I know it won't necessarily counter hysteria, but it will help us maintain our own determination and calm, which CAN help to do so. Posted by hessma at August 16, 2006 06:45 AM
