Jenkins on convergence culture

Henry Jenkins, an author whose work I've respected for a long time, has just released a new book, Convergence Culture. I haven't managed to read it yet, but I've been enjoying his responses to critics through his weblog (and following). Clearly this is a book I need to read! But even more clearly, this is an example of a different kind of weblog -- one which contributes new space for ongoing scholarly dialogue. Posted by hessma at August 16, 2006 08:55 AM

Mary, thank you for the blog comment. It's good to be back. I appreciate the Jenkins referral. I've read information from him before, but hadn't realized he'd released a new book.

Since hindsight is 20/20, I'm increasing appreciating the perspectives from your class last year. My role at LWR is increasingly located within the "convergences" of an every increasing set of cultures. Though I should have taken more classes from you, I'm happy to have made at least a few touch points. Hope to continue the conversation.
